What Owner publishes

Owner sells two plans: Flex at US$249 a month with a 5% restaurant fee on each order, and Flat at US$499 a month with no restaurant fee (Owner pricing, checked 29 October 2026). Both are month-to-month with no cancellation fee, and setup and migration are included. Both also add a 5% order support fee that the guest pays.

That guest fee is the part worth thinking about. It is not charged to you, but your customer sees it at checkout, and a surcharge on a direct order is exactly what people order direct to avoid.

What 5% means on real volume

On 300 orders a month at a $40 average, 5% is US$600, which makes Flex far more expensive than Flat and makes both more expensive than a flat Canadian fee. Below roughly 125 orders a month Flex is cheaper than Flat on Owner’s own numbers. Work out your order count before you pick.

Where Chefzi is different

The price is published, in Canadian dollars, before you talk to anyone: $17 CAD a month for cash and pickup ordering, $35 CAD with card payments, per location, with no commission per order.

Chefzi takes no percentage of your orders on any plan and adds nothing to the customer’s bill, so the price your guest sees is your menu price plus tax. Menu setup and onboarding are free.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Owner cost?

Owner has two plans: Flex at US$249 a month plus 5% of each order, and Flat at US$499 a month with no per-order fee. Both add a 5% order support fee paid by the customer.

Does Owner charge commission?

On its Flex plan, yes: a 5% restaurant fee on every order. Its Flat plan removes that fee for a higher monthly price.

What is Owner’s 5% order support fee?

It is a fee added to the customer’s bill at checkout rather than charged to the restaurant, so your guest pays it.

Does Chefzi charge customers a fee?

No. Chefzi is a flat monthly fee, and customers pay only your menu prices and tax.
