GloriaFood migration

GloriaFood closes on 30 April 2027. Here’s how to move.

Oracle is ending every GloriaFood product, free and paid, on 30 April 2027. This guide covers what ends, what to export, how long you have, and the 8 steps to switch without losing orders.

What ends, and when

Source: Oracle’s GloriaFood end-of-life FAQ (checked 27 October 2026). Oracle says it cannot recommend a specific replacement provider. GloriaFood’s site shows the same 30 April 2027 date.

The 8-step migration plan

  • Check your GloriaFood footprint. List every GloriaFood service you use (online ordering, table booking, POS, Oracle Payment) and any integration. Oracle’s FAQ asks restaurants to do this first.
  • Find your real end date. Paid services end when your last renewal expires, between 1 and 30 April 2027, unless you cancel earlier. Renewals are only accepted up to one month before 30 April 2027.
  • Export your data. In GloriaFood, export customers (Reports, List View, Clients), orders and promotion stats as CSV, and save a copy of your menu with modifiers, prices and photos. Keep the files on your own drive.
  • Set up the new ordering page. Rebuild the menu, delivery zones, fees, minimum orders, hours and tax rates (GST/HST, PST or QST). In Quebec, check your SRS / WEB-SRM billing obligations.
  • Test payments and orders. Place cash and card test orders, print a kitchen ticket and test a refund before going live.
  • Switch every link on one day. Replace the order button on your website, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, flyers and QR codes.
  • Tell your regulars. Email customers who agreed to hear from you (CASL consent), and post the new link on social media.
  • Close GloriaFood and keep your files. Cancel through the GloriaFood admin or portal chat once the new page has taken real orders. After your service ends you have 30 days to retrieve data.

What to export before you cancel

Only email customers who gave consent; Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) applies to the new system too.

Choosing what to move to

Two kinds of replacement come up in search: hosted ordering systems (like GloriaFood and Chefzi) and self-hosted WordPress/WooCommerce plugins, where you run the website, hosting and updates yourself. Plugins give you the server; hosted systems take the maintenance off your hands.

Compare published prices in online ordering systems in Canada compared, see the GloriaFood alternatives for Canada, and read why commission-free ordering matters for margins.

Canadian checks GloriaFood guides skip

  • Tax: set GST/HST, PST or QST so totals and receipts are right in your province.
  • Quebec: check SRS / WEB-SRM billing rules; see restaurant POS in Canada.
  • Language: Quebec customers expect a French ordering page; Chefzi can run English, French or both.
  • Card fees: budget for processing, for example 2.9% + C$0.30 on Stripe’s standard Canadian pricing.

How Chefzi helps you move

Book a demo and we help rebuild your menu in Chefzi; you check it before going live. Chefzi is a flat monthly fee with no commission per order: see pricing. Need a new site too? Read restaurant website basics and QR code menus.

Do it before the spring rush

Leaving it to April 2027 means switching during patio season, with renewals closing a month before the end date. Moving in the winter gives you time to test and to tell your regulars.

Frequently asked questions

What is the last day my GloriaFood account works?

All GloriaFood services end on 30 April 2027. A paid service ends earlier if its final renewal expires between 1 and 30 April 2027. Source: Oracle’s GloriaFood end-of-life FAQ (checked 27 October 2026).

How long can I get my GloriaFood data after it closes?

30 days after your service expires, is cancelled or is terminated. Ask through chat in your GloriaFood account portal. Export earlier while you can still do it yourself (Oracle’s GloriaFood end-of-life FAQ).

How do I export my GloriaFood customer list?

In the GloriaFood admin open Reports, then List View, then Clients, and export it as a CSV file. Orders and promotion stats are also under Reports.

Can I still renew GloriaFood to buy time?

Yes, renewals are accepted up to one month before 30 April 2027, but service still stops by that date (Oracle’s GloriaFood end-of-life FAQ).

Does the GloriaFood free plan end too?

Yes. Oracle lists online ordering “freemium and paid tiers” as ending on 30 April 2027.

Will I lose my customers when I switch?

Your customers follow your links. Update every link on the same day and tell regulars who opted in by email or on social media.

Can Chefzi copy my menu?

Yes. Send us your menu export or link during the demo and we set it up; you check it before going live.

How long does a migration take?

It depends on menu size and how many places your link appears. Allow time for test orders and a short overlap with GloriaFood before you cancel.
