What the 6.9% actually means

MyMenuo’s Free plan has no monthly subscription and takes 6.9% of every website order, including orders paid in cash, plus Stripe fees (MyMenuo pricing, checked 29 October 2026). On a $40 order that is $2.76 before Stripe, and it applies to every order for as long as you are on the free plan.

The paid plans remove the per-order fee and move you to a subscription. The Online plan covers one store, one user and guidance for up to 100 orders a month, with a 14-day trial, and it is priced in US dollars, so a Canadian restaurant pays the exchange rate as well as the list price.

Where Chefzi is different

Chefzi prices in CAD and takes no percentage of any order: $17 CAD a month for cash and pickup, $35 CAD with card payments, per location. There is no threshold, no per-order charge and no currency conversion.

The rest of the job is in the same system: POS, kitchen display, order printing, reservations, loyalty, multi-location reports, and Uber Eats and DoorDash orders pulled into the POS. Plans are month-to-month, with discounts on 1-, 2- and 3-year plans. Menu setup and onboarding are free.

A quick way to compare

  • Work out your monthly order count and average order value.
  • Multiply by 6.9% to see what the MyMenuo Free plan takes.
  • Compare that with $35 CAD a month. Below about 15 orders a month at a $34 average, the free plan is cheaper; above it, a flat fee wins.
  • Then add the things that are not on the bill: whether you get a POS, whether the price is in CAD, and whether you can take your customer list with you.

What to ask MyMenuo

Ask for the Online plan price in Canadian dollars, whether the 100-order guidance is a limit or a suggestion, and how you export your customers if you leave. Those three answers matter more than the headline number.

Do I pay commission on Chefzi orders?
