The trial is the offer

MenuDrive leads with a 90-day free trial, and the rest of the homepage is a feature list rather than a price (MenuDrive, checked 29 October 2026): commission-free ordering, more than 100 website templates, orders by email, text or POS, curbside, takeout, delivery and dine-in, plus email, coupon and loyalty marketing and a reporting dashboard.

A 90-day trial is long enough to learn whether the product fits. The problem is what happens on day 91, when you are deciding on a number you have not seen yet, in a currency they do not publish in Canadian dollars.

Where Chefzi is different

The price is on the page before you talk to anyone: $17 CAD a month for cash and pickup ordering, $35 CAD with card payments, per location, no commission per order. Menu setup and onboarding are free, so you do not have to budget for a build fee either.

The ordering side, the POS, the kitchen display, order printing, reservations and loyalty are one system, and the pages run in English and French for Canadian customers. Plans are month-to-month, with discounts on 1-, 2- and 3-year plans. Menu setup and onboarding are free.

If you are comparing the two

  • Get MenuDrive’s quote in writing, in CAD, with any setup fee and any per-order charge on top of card processing.
  • Ask what a template change costs and who owns the site after the trial.
  • Add up the marketing tools you will actually use. If you will not send email and text campaigns, you are paying for a product you are not using.
  • Check that prices, taxes and receipts work for a Canadian restaurant: GST or HST on the receipt, and a French ordering page if you serve Quebec.

Frequently asked questions

How much does MenuDrive cost?

MenuDrive does not publish a price on its website. It offers a 90-day free trial and asks you to sign up so its team can quote you, so the only number that counts is the one in their written quote.

Does MenuDrive charge commission?

No. MenuDrive lists commission-free online ordering and food delivery on its site.

Why is Chefzi’s price public?

Because it is a flat fee, not a negotiated quote: $17 CAD a month for cash and pickup ordering, or $35 CAD with card payments, per location.
