Restaurant ordering in Mississauga: what the numbers say
Mississauga’s population dipped 0.5% between 2016 and 2021. With a stable or shrinking customer base, every margin point counts, which makes paying commission on regular customers’ orders harder to justify.
Mississauga has about 2,453 people per km², which is typical of a busy suburban city. Most customers will drive or have food delivered, so a radius of a few kilometres with distance-based fees is a good starting point.
